The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties accredited participation in the recent RIDM and IQDAC for 21 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) and 7 hours for each of three workshops, and (6) hours for the fourth workshop. It must be noted that the four workshops were held simultaneously such that a participant could only attend one workshop.
The first workshop was the Innovation in Dental Education and Producing Dentists for the 21st Century, presented by the University of Arizona team composed of Dr. Jack Dillenberg , dean of the Arizona School of Dentistry, and Dr. Don Altman, dean of Graduate Studies at University of Arizona, Dr. Tony Hashemian, Associate Dean of the Arizona School of Dentistry.
The second workshop, “All-Ceramic from A (Adhesive Technique) to Z (Zirconia Ceramic)” was presented by Prof. Daniel Edelhoff, from the University of Berlin, Germany.
The third workshop, “Search Discovering the Potential of CEREC Omnicam with CEREC” was handled by Dr. Klaus Wiedhahn, a dental cosmetics professor in Germany.
The fourth workshop, “From Tooth Extraction to The Insertion of The Final Implant Reconstruction” was handled by Dr. Ronald E. Jung from Switzerland.
An exhibition held on the sidelines of the Congress/Meeting was participated in by 25 companies, majority of which were dental supplies and dental products companies. The exhibition provided the visitors and the public with sufficient time and an adequate way to communicate with a large number of companies supplying many of the materials and devices used in dentistry all under one roof.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him, has approved the holding of exhibitions and conferences related to health services in general, in his desire to raise the efficiency of workers in the field of dentistry, increase their scientific and academic qualifications, acquaint them with the latest developments, and to enable the transfer, share and exchange global scientific expertise among dental professionals.
On this occasion, Prof. Abdullah R. Al Shammery, President of IQDAC and Rector of RCsDP, welcomed the guests from inside and outside the Kingdom and thanked them for attending this scientific event. He expressed his pride and honor that the meeting, which has been organized by the college annually, has become an achievement of Riyadh Colleges with the unlimited support for the private higher education sector provided by the Saudi government and the officials of the Ministry of Higher Education, and their faith in the significance of holding such scientific meetings.
Prof. Al Shammery also expressed his appreciation for the Quintessence International Publishing Group, for their collaboration in organizing this event for the fourth time in a row.
He also thanked all the companies and institutions participating in the exhibition, as well as all his colleagues and the members of the organizing committee and sub-committees.
Finally, he shared his hope for a permanent and continuous success for all.
