Dr. Sherif M. Helal, Assistant Professor in the Preventive Dentistry Division in the College of Dentistry of the Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy presented a poster at the recently concluded 89th General Session and Exhibition of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the 40th Meeting of the AADR and the 35th Annual Meeting of the CADR which were held from 16-19 March 2011 at the San Diego Convention Center in California, USA.
Dr. Helal’s poster presentation was entitled “Sorbitol Chewing-Gum Effect on First-Permanent Molar Eruption Phase Caries Incidence” which is categorized under Salivary Gland Clinicopathology. Dr. Helal’s paper is one of the few researches which were officially accepted among the thousands which were submitted to this year’s IADR General Session.
The members of the administration, faculty and staff of the Riyadh Colleges of Dentistry and Pharmacy congratulate Dr. Helal and take great pride in his achievement and in the recognition accorded his work by the IADR, a very prestigious international organization.
The College encourages similar research pursuits not only among its faculty and teaching staff but also among its students and administrative staff. Guidelines for the purpose have been published by the RCSDP Research Center which is under the directorship of Prof. Hezekiah Mosadomi.
